So I've been messing around with playing live a little more recently and I will be again this weekend in AC. I've only been playing 2/4 because most of my bankroll is online and I really want to get a few practice sessions in before I convert more of my bankroll and played any higher. Most of my previous live experience has been in tournaments. I can probably count the number of live cash sessions I've played, outside home games with friends, on one hand.
The one thing I want to practice most is picking up on some mannerisms or physical behaviors and so far I've been frustrated that I haven't seen one single thing yet. So my question is:
Do any of these things even exist in 2/4 games where everyone is just predetermined to call down anyway that their calls are in the pot before the bets most the time or am I just missing things that might start coming with time?
Now I know that physical tells and the like are more useful in NL games and I'm not looking to find some unbelievable tells that allow me to crush the 2/4 games because to tell you the truth, in the games I've sat in so far, I could have played with my cards face up and it probably wouldn't have made any difference. But just for the sake of practice for bigger games in the future, what types of things should I be looking for?
Statler: I wonder if there really is life on other planets?
Waldorf: What do you care? You don't have a life on this planet.
