A brief update from Reno WPT-

Emmasmom won a satelite into the ladies tournament. She got short stacked early and busted out on a coinflip at the 45 minute mark. I played in the $200+25 this evening, about 300 entries, but busted out at the one hour mark on the following hand. Tournament started with 1000 chips. Blinds are 25/50. I have 1100TC and am in the BB with [Tc] [9h]. UTG (very passive 30ish woman) minimum raises to 100. One limper, a super LAG that has accumulated about 3000 chips, and the SB calls as well. I call. Flop is [Jc][8c][7c], giving me the srtaight and one card draw to the straight flush. I check, expecting the LAG to bet at the flop. It checks around. UGH. Turn is [As]. I bet 300 into the pot. UTG raises to 600. Two folds, I push. She turns over [Ac] [Ad]. River is [Qc] and I am out. She got very lucky.

Playing LO8 live is pretty fun. I am up 150 at 4/8 half kill Omaha8. Up another 50 at 4/8 LHE half-kill. It is kind of a grind at LHE, but the Omaha games are pretty live. I also came in 4th in a $110 SNG. Full trip report to follow.

LO8 with a Kill is probably the most consistently soft live game out there ATM.

could you give some tips on the BJ casino whoring. it sounds good if the bonuses are sweet.

URL to a cheat sheet and recommended sites would be nice.

Kuso-

The following links should be very helpful. My +EV of $22/hr is with a very conservative style of whoring. I could increase it to conceivably $150/hr if I was willing to accept the variance.

Arnold Snyder has a newish (3 weeks or so) book out on casino whoring, which is worth a read for the discussion of proper strategy with sticky bonuses and semi-sticky bonuses. The rest of the book's treatment of casino whoring is worthwhile also, but anyone reading this is my journal can skip the second half of the book, which deals with poker bonus whoring. We are all far more advanced in that regard than Mr. Snyder's book gets in to. I think I have the link correct to the book with Iceman's affiliate link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/158042 ... e&n=283155

Websites to help you along the way are:
http://forums.somethingawful.com/showth ... id=1799549

http://www.casinobonuspages.com/.

http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/mb/blackjackguy

http://www.wizardofodds.com

Use caution with the casino bonus affiliates. For example, two of the casinos on the CBP top 10 list are blacklisted by the Wizard. This is click-through banner hell at its worst. I would suggest strong anti-malware software also. Some affiliates and casinos have been known to download malware to prevent players from accessing other affiliates or casinos. It is absolutely critical that you arrive at your own independent decision about the EV and expected hourly rate of any individual bonus. Do not accept the word on the street or the word at the sites listed above. You will also notice that BW is conspicuously absent from the above list of affiliates and websites. They have a reputation at 2+2 of misleading n00bies in order to keep the bonuses more lucrative in the future. I cannot verify this information, but I have seen it frequently enough that I avoid BW all together when it comes to casino whoring (the BW casino whoring section has a member fee also, this info is available elsewhere on the web, although I suspect that they share info on sportsbook arbitrage opportunities. If that is true, it could be worth the price of admission, but I have enough to keep me busy without getting into sports betting as well).

As far as blackjack strategy goes, the basic strategy cards at the Wizard's site are the ones that I use. The cards at CBP are ok too. Where there are discrepancies, the difference in EV does not appear to be consequential. I have also cleared one small bonus where BJ was not allowed, so I played video poker Jacks or Better. The House Advantage is similar to blackjack, but the variance is much greater. There is a VP JoB strategy list at the Wizard's site.

I have an Excel spreadsheet template for keeping critical information to each casino. Contact info, EV of bonus, Player % advantage over house, terms of bonus, forbidden games (some do not allow BJ, most do not allow roulette or craps), and other info. It is absolutely mandatory to read and understand the terms and conditions of the bonus at the casino website, and the T&Cs may be located in more than one place, and may be contradictory. Keep a screenshot of the T& C saved on your computer in case of a dispute later. Casino customer service is usually helpful in clearing up any discrepancies. I have already gotten VIP and preferred player offers from some of the casinos. I will post a link to the Excel sheet here if someone will explain to me how to do it.

Reload and VIP bonus offers have started coming in (I have been at this for 2 weeks). None of them have had a +EV yet, but I would accept an even marginally positive player advantage (~1%) from one of the main casinos to keep from being labled an advantage player.
